Valentines Day quick fix... 14 February

Sadly the guy has to do all the work and as usual has to surprise his girl with something unexpected and beyond belief. Why we don't plan better for this day is very obvious... We are all heartless beasts who's only desire is to have someone hanging on our arm as a prize won off of a Russian mafia when we once worked for the navy seals... for the girls that didn't catch that sarcasm... The above mentioned situation is one in a million and worth forgetting about while reading further into this article... We all want to make this excuse to spend money on our girls an amazing day reminding her how much you love her, don't worry I'm also still trying to figure out why they need reminding.

Here's the scenario:
1. You're planning ahead for this special day and you're a complete over achiever... good on you! I wouldn't brag about it though. You're the reason us other guys have to work so hard... :/
2. You've just arrived at work and realized you completely forgot about Valentines day and you suddenly realize your V-day is about to become "D-DAY"... You're phones ringing... Answer it and don't forget to say Happy Valentines day Babe/Honey/Nooi/Lovey/Jelly-baby etc. that way she thinks you didn't forget... It would help if you have a stash of chocolate lying somewhere at home that you could inform her of... Don't forget to say "I Love You" before slamming the phone down and hyperventilating... Once you've calmed down i would suggest scrolling down and searching through tho options I've provided for the evening filled with loved planned out by yourself...

You can skip the second scenario ;)...

GAUTENG:
Since Gauteng is my actual area of expertise I have two available choices... If you're here and have not looked at the other two provinces, lucky you! you get two choices...
Lets be honest the rest of the country loves us! They call us names and according to mum that means they like us because they don't want to embarrass them selves by admitting their favor. I don't like being called a Vaalie and this has caused a favor towards my own kind :P Having said this let's spread the love and make this the best Valentines Day yet!

ROMANTIC!
Firstly for all the romantics out there Menlyn park has the two events you want to be at! For an intimate private dinner I would personally suggest Baobab restaurant. They serve up some of the most amazing restaurant causes I have ever tasted, and provide an intimate enough environment to have the ability to talk to your date. It is recommended to make a booking as space can be an issue over a day of public romance...

situated right next to the first 'romantic' event is the Barnyard Theater who is serving a complimentary Brutal fruit cocktail on arrival, for you damsel in distress, this is the perfect event for you if:

  • you have invited someone who knows you but doesn't know you invited them
  • you want to prevent awkward silence
  • you're scared your words might come out in a horrible stutter
  • You LOVE music!
60 Years of Billboard 100 No. 1’s are sure to keep your hearts and ears beating to the sound of music... celebrate all styles of fashion and song - crisscrossing 60 years of number one hits. Get ready for a number one countdown that will keep you rocking till the break of dawn!

NON ROMANCE?
for all the non believers I've found the perfect event! No one hates valentines day more than zombies! mostly because they can't differentiate between today and tomorrow but partly because they just want to have fun, and eat brains... actually scratch that they just want to eat brains... :(
Zombie Run is a simulated apocalypse, organised for fans of all things zombie – and those who just want to have some fun.
Hosted as a quirky antidote to sickly Valentine’s Day, the Bloody Valentine race appeals to those who agree that the famous 80's slashers are all probably zombies anyway, after rising from the dead so many times in countless movies. The race follows a light obstacle course, which is super-creepy, in a dark and deserted zoo!!!!
Race rules will be briefed beforehand and will be strictly enforced for everyone’s safety and benefit. Breakers of the rules will be shot till dead! wait that wont work...
The first zombies will get into position at approximately 7pm. HOT SPOTS are the best place to attack passing conscious runners and these will be identified prior to the run, on a map for zombie eyes only! Zombies are free to move up and down the course as they please. The only limitation is your own fitness and enthusiasm.
Runners will wear three flags, representing three lives, which will be easy to rip off. Zombies are permitted to grab these, one at a time. Runners will go out in different batches to avoid a bottle-neck, starting at 7:15pm.
Batches will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. The goal for runners is to safely navigate the course either with one life intact, or wearing an immunity bracelet.
If a runner loses all three lives and doesn’t have a bracelet, they’re free to finish the course but will be declared “dead on arrival” at the finish.
At 9pm, sweepers will go out and start bringing everyone back, and the game will be declared finished at 9:30pm.
